Hatha yoga is a practice designed with the intention of developing stillness in the body and mind; creating balance and a foundation for the exploration of self. On the most spiritual level, it can help each of us to achieve equanimity and harmony. On the most physical level, it provides a wonderful workout to reduce stress and help develop personal fitness. Yoga can be many things to many people, but to practice it is a gift to yourself, to those around you, and the world.
